The island is about 50 kilometers from Kuala Terengganu. This is one of the most wonderful places of the eastern coast of Malaysia. Redang is a pure water, white sandy beachand lots of greenery. In the coastal waters of the bizarre coral reefs with their unique life of fish and shellfish.

The island is declared a marine reserve. Destroying corals is strictly prohibited. Fishing is prohibited within a radius of 32 kilometers from Redang.

To get to the island is possible in 1 hour by boat from Meranga.
